Stay on top of consumables and home inventory

Pantry stock, cleaning supplies, workshop materials, and home belongings all live in one system. Track what needs replenishing and document belongings with photos, serial numbers, purchase details, and locations so you have a clear, timestamped record if something goes wrong.

Consumables and replenishment

Pantry stock, cleaning supplies, workshop materials, or other consumables where the count matters more than the individual item. Use balance logs to log deductions and restocks without overwriting the trail.

Home inventory for insurance

Document belongings with photos, serial numbers, purchase details, and locations so you have a clear, timestamped record if something goes wrong. Collections give each item fields and attachments you can export for reviews.

Balances and collections together

Combine balance logs for counts with collections for individual items to model rooms, kits, and storage zones. Child logs keep each area separate while roll-ups show totals for the whole home or workspace.

Reviewable history

Walk back through the append-only event history to see when something was added, moved, or retired, and which notes or attachments were captured at the time.

Example setup

  • 1. Create a “Home Inventory” collection log with fields for Value, Condition, and Storage location.
  • 2. Add child logs for Rooms, Gear Kits, or Pantry Zones to separate contexts while keeping a single history.
  • 3. Log events when items move, are consumed, or are replaced, including short notes where it helps future you.
  • 4. Once a quarter, walk each area and reconcile what you see against the entries in your logs.
