Book Library
And Reading Tracker
You have books on shelves, in boxes, maybe on a Kindle. Someone asks if you have read a certain author and you are not sure. You buy a book and realize you already own it. A friend asks to borrow something and you spend ten minutes looking for it. You remember loving a book but cannot remember the title. Your reading life exists only in your memory, and memory is unreliable.
The moment you lose track of your own books
You are at a bookstore. A title looks familiar.
You think: Did I read this? Did I buy it and never read it? Is it on a shelf at home right now?
You check Goodreads. You added it three years ago but never marked it read or owned.
You buy it anyway. When you get home, you find a copy on your shelf. Same edition.
This is a small problem. But it happens often enough to be annoying.
