Inventory Tracking
Keep a real-time view of inventory levels, maintenance events, and restocks.
Log structure
- Create a Master Inventory collection log.
- Add custom fields:
sku,location,condition,quantity_on_hand,unit_cost. - Create child logs for each location or kit (for example, Warehouse A, Studio Kit, Pantry).
Adding items
- Import items via CSV or use quick add forms.
- Append entries whenever an item is moved or its condition changes.
- Attach photos or receipts for high-value gear.
Balance link for consumables
For items that deplete (like pantry stock), create a linked balance log named Consumables. Deduct quantities as they are used, and credit when restocked.
Dashboards
Use filters to show items with low stock or upcoming maintenance. Saved views help families or lending circles review specific subsets without altering the underlying data.
Exports and audits
When you export inventory data, keep regular snapshots from the parent log so you can compare them to previous periods and audit shrinkage or damage.
