Collections and Tags

Use collections to catalog discrete items and keep tags consistent across your household or collecting group.

Ledger structure

  1. Create a collection ledger for your library, archive, or asset list.
  2. Define tag sets for genres, status, and ownership. Tag sets enforce consistent naming.
  3. Use child ledgers to represent departments, clients, or curators.

Adding items

  • Add items individually or import via CSV.
  • Include metadata fields such as author, release year, format, or valuation.
  • Attach provenance documents or certificates as files on the entry.

Managing tags

Tags are append-only updates. When you adjust a tag, Anchorline appends a new entry noting the change. Use the history feed to see who retagged an item and when.

Views and exports

Create saved views for “Loaned Out,” “Needs Review,” or “Featured.” Export NDJSON or CSV for newsletters, catalogs, or API integrations. Stable IDs make it easy to sync with websites or inventory systems.
